The LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, and Discipleship) Board is the

primary governance body at CHUMC. Composed of 9-12 members, (plus one non-voting staff or

pastor proxy), its role is to provide high-level leadership—defining mission, vision, and core

values; ensuring financial integrity; guiding staff relations; approving strategy; and

overseeing—but not managing—day-to-day church operations.
