CALLED TO BE THE HEART OF GOD IN THE COMMUNITY

Earn. Save. Give. Exploring Our Faithfulness Into 2016

Logo-sm2Pastor Alisa loves this time of year, because we at CHUMC believe that exploring our understanding of money and the beautiful and powerful spiritual discipline of stewardship can have a deep impact on both our daily lives and our spirit’s growth.  Given the feedback from last year’s drive, this year we will once again focus on John Wesley’s understanding of money and the three simple rules of: earn, save, give.

We encourage you to study Jim Harnish’s brand new book Earn, Save, Give: Wesley’s Simple Rules for Money during this time of discernment. Contact Pastor Alisa if you’d like to take part in a video conferencing discussion of the book on:

  • Tuesdays (beginning Oct 27)
  • From 9:00-10:00pm
  • Via Zoom

You might also be interested in listening to last year’s sermons on this topic.

Remember, stewardship is a holy opportunity to grow as we become more aware of all we have that God has lovingly given us! Join us in giving thanks for all the ministry we have participated in as a church in 2015 as we prayerfully consider how we will live out God’s kingdom in 2016 through our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.
